Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary celebrations began in early 2019. When starting to pull together plans for a year of events and beyond, Warner Music Group asked Giancarlo to act as the key liaison between the label and the band’s representatives.
Giancarlo’s role is primarily to offer improved communications and simplify the flow of information, thus helping to deliver consistent and regular approvals for key assets and concepts around this major campaign, and in 2021, was asked to also act as the International Project Manager for all Warner catalogue teams worldwide.
Coupling his wealth of experience in dealing with major heritage artist management teams and his exceptional presentation skills, Giancarlo has been able to help WMG deliver the 50th anniversary to the satisfaction of artist management, and with huge media coverage as well as increased online and streaming engagement from fans.
Resulting in Music Ally’s Sandbox voting it one of 2019’s Best Marketing Campaigns, key elements of the campaign have included the enormously successful Artist Playlists campaign, with dedicated Led Zeppelin playlists by Jack White, The Black Keys, Royal Blood and more.
Giancarlo has also made a significant contribution to the Led Zeppelin History YouTube video series which has helped deliver increased fan engagement across social platforms and continues to be rolled out. These videos have now attracted over 2,000,000 views and have helped to grow the band’s considerable subscriber base.
In 2020, Giancarlo further helped to steer the approvals process for SiriusXM’s Led Zeppelin Radio pop-up channel, and also for the YouTube exclusive streaming event of Celebration Day, both of which were hugely successful in driving additional digital activity during a non-release cycle.
2021 saw the 50th anniversary of the seminal untitled album, commonly known as IV, which Warner Music supported with a new, dedicated campaign. The album is Led Zeppelin’s best selling LP, and ranks as the RIAA’s 5th best selling studio album of all time.
Giancarlo further helped Warner Music in 2022 - although there was no album anniversary to focus on, new episodes were created for The History Of Led Zeppelin series, as well as additional endeavours.
Giancarlo has also been able to apply his considerable international marketing experience to help with the conception and delivery of key tools for the campaign which are now live worldwide.
NEIL YOUNG

Neil Young is one of the most prolific artists in the world, and aside from a few years on Geffen Records aside, has been a mainstay of the Reprise Records artist roster. Following the lockdowns of 2020/21, Neil's focus on his catalogue reissues was further enhanced and his release schedule of archival recordings bloomed.
Warner Music Group asked Giancarlo to help oversee the International Marketing of Neil's catalogue releases, liaising with the team at Reprise in LA, and with marketing teams across all Warner Music's offices and licensees worldwide.
2022 has seen a slew of catalogue releases from Neil Young, including Royce Hall 1971, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion 1970, Citizen Kane Jr Blues, Official Release Series, Volume 4, Toast, Noise and Flowers, and the Eldorado E.P.
Rounding out 2022 in style is Harvest (50th Anniversary Edition), for which Giancarlo has also helped deliver a host of marketing tools, as well as organising interviews with Neil Young and key international media.
